Managing a private residence requires strong leadership, organisation and attention to detail.
Lawrence's career as a Traditional Butler started in the HM Forces, in particular the British Army, where he put himself forward to becoming a Commanding Officer's Batman. He recalls in his own words,".......I had no idea ......what it meant to become ......the very last Batman of.....my battalion." However, this opportunity gave him the training and foundation of a unique future career, which led him to work all over the world for a very mixed clientele
After leaving the British Army, Lawrence took charge of the prestigious Penthouse Suites at Claridge's before moving to Spring Cottage, the former tea room of Queen Victoria. There, his exceptional standards led him into private service, where he built a reputation as a Traditional Butler serving some of the world's most distinguished clients.
Over more than 45 years, Lawrence has looked after members of the British Royal Family, including Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, The Duke of Edinburgh and The Princess Royal, as well as Captains of industry and international dignitaries. His clients have also included the King of Saudi Arabia, Prince Khalid Abdullah, Donatella Versace, Steven Spielberg, Steve Luczo and many others.
Prior Planning and Preparation Prevents Pretty Poor Performance.
Those seven Ps remain at the heart of everything Lawrence and team do.
It is worthwhile noting that Lawrence is also a fully trained Professional Toastmaster, who has had past experiences with wedding ceremonies in particular, announcing the toast of the couple and also liaised with other professionals such as the Events Management Team, and Caterers or/ and Chefs, as well as photographers and florists
After a lifetime serving prestigious households, Lawrence decided to change tack by bringing the standards of royal and private service to homes that wouldn't ordinarily have household staff.
